Staff changing inside “Group-24” and «Youth for the Revival of Tajikistan»
Committee of political movements “Group-24” and «Youth for the Revival of Tajikistan» held its annual and joined meeting. During this meeting was discussed resent situation the country. Adding for the meeting, the Committee has reviewed and studied its last year activities inside and out of the country. As well as it was discussed approaching important issues and way of dealing with the new challenges and finally was taken serious decisions. One of the importation decisions was taken by the Committee, adding inner renovating, staff changing inside of the both movements and its concerned authorities.
Member of both committees accepted the last changing and said that this renovating will be very important, beneficent for the next step of political activities, and reaching to the goal.
Committee of political movements of “Group-24” and «Youth for the Revival of Tajikistan» was decided for this conclusion;
- Sharofiddin Gadoev removed from the post of head of political movement “Grpoup-24”.
- Sobir Valiev removed from the post of vice to head of political movement “Group-24”.
In spite of this:
- Suhrob Zafar nominated in the post of head of political movement “Group-24”.
- Hussain Ashurov nominated in the post of vice to head of political movement “Group-24”.
Within, Muhammadsobiri Abdukahhor nominated in the post of head of political movement «Youth for the Revival of Tajikistan» and Ma’ruf Langarchiev nominated in the post of vice to head political movement «Youth for the Revival of Tajikistan».
Should be mentioned that both political movements “Group-24” and «Youth for the Revival of Tajikistan» is acting under the umbrella of Congress Constructive Forces of Tajikistan.
Should be mentioned that “Group-24” is a Tajik opposition movement based abroad due to repressions. The movement was founded in 2012 by Tajik businessman and politician Umarali Quvvatov. “Group-24” opposes the rule of the Tajik president Emomali Rahmonov, accusing him of corruption and nepotism. The Group’s first leader Umarali Quvvatov was assassinated on 5 March 2015 in Turkey. Following Quvvatov’s murder, the group elected Sharofiddin Gadoev as its new chairman.
«Youth for the Revival of Tajikistan» is also a political movement against the regime of Emomali Rakhmonov. The movement founded in 2014 by Tajik youths in Russia. Maksud Ibragimov was the first chairman of this movement.
Movement has repeatedly held rallies and pickets in many Russian cities. On 26 November 2014, Ibragimov was attacked in Moscow by two persons who left him with 6 knife wounds but he survived. On 20 January 2015, Ibragimov was arrested by Russian authorities and immediately extradited illegally to Tajikistan and he was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
